Fees – Individuals and Families

Our fees are simple, straightforward, and disclosed in advance so you know exactly where you stand.

Initial advice

The fee for your unique Lifetime Wealth Map is fixed at £1,790. This includes meetings, research, preparation, and presentation. You are under no obligation to accept our recommendations or to use our implementation service.

Implementation fees - with the aforementioned Lifetime Wealth Map and a separate Financial Advice Report included - are simply 1% of the value of financial assets with a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £10,000.

For example, if you had assets of £300,000 and you wished for financial planning only with no implementation, or there was no need to change your existing assets, the fee would be £1,790.

If you had assets of £300,000 and you opted for financial planning, we advised a change to your assets and you wished for us to implement the advice, your fee would be £4,790 (£1,790 Lifetime Wealth Map fee and £3,000 implementation fee).

Initial fees can generally be deducted from existing assets.  We will discuss the most tax-efficient option with you.

If your circumstances are particularly complex, for example, you have 5 or more financial assets that require analysis, our fee may increase from the amounts shown above. If this applies, you will be informed in advance of chargeable work commencing.

Ongoing advice

Gold service

This is 0.6% of assets under advice, with a minimum fee of £1,535 per annum.  This is generally suitable for clients with simpler affairs that do not require detailed tax planning. All meetings in this service will be via video link or telephone.

Platinum service

This is 0.88% of assets under advice, with a minimum fee of £3,070 per annum. This service is for people whose affairs are reasonably complex:

  • You may have multiple investments and tax wrappers.

  • You may have one or more rental properties.

  • You may be a high earner or hold a senior position within a company.

The Platinum service includes an in-person or video formal annual review. This service also includes financial guidance for other members of your immediate family.

Diamond service

This is 1% of assets under advice, with a minimum fee of £5,115 per annum. This service is an ‘all-inclusive’ outsourcing of your personal finances, with meetings as frequently as required (minimum of 2 per annum) and unlimited access to your financial planner. This service is typically for people with:

  • Complex tax planning requirements such as trust advice or estate planning.

  • A high level of assets and associated complexity.

  • You may be involved with several businesses.

The Diamond service includes liaison with any external contacts and joint meetings as required. As with Platinum, financial guidance for your immediate family is included at no extra cost.

No matter what…

Regardless of which option you choose, we will ensure that you are being as tax-efficient as possible, that your assets are updated to reflect changing legislation, and that you are on track to achieve your aspirations.

We do not charge for additional contributions to existing assets.

It may be more tax-efficient to have ongoing fees deducted from your portfolio. We will discuss the most tax-efficient option with you.

How do we compare?

According to research by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the average charge across financial planning professionals is 2.4% of the amount invested for initial advice, and 1.9% for ongoing advice including underlying product and portfolio charges, such as custody and fund management (Source: FCA Evaluation of RDR Report, December 2020).

We aim to be neither the lowest cost nor the most expensive, but we do aim to always offer our clients excellent value for money and financial peace of mind.
